Andrea Krout Photography on all social media: www.pinterest.com/akrouttt www.facebook.com/AndreaKroutPhotography www.instagram.com/andrea_krout_photography I told Andrea it would be a great idea for her to make a Top Ten List of her favorite ring pictures from 2017. I thought it would be really cute to make it a New Year blog and entitle it "Ringing in the New Year". I asked her to pick her ten favorite rings and write 1-2 sentences about each picture. I contributed by adding the the opening and organizing the pictures and her descriptions. Go to the original blog here to be able to view her beautiful photographs. Happy New Year! Thank you for following my journey this past year. I appreciate your constant support, encouragement, and loyalty. There are exciting new changes coming to AKP in 2018.
Continue following me on all my social media: www.pinterest.com/akrouttt www.instagram.com/andrea_krout_photography www.facebook.com/AndreaKroutPhotography I am "Ringing" in 2018 by looking back at my favorite photographs I've taken of engagement and wedding rings. These are my Top 10 Rings of 2017: 10. Nicole and Chris Engagement Session If you did not know this about me, I also work for a luxury watch and jewelry store. I am a sucker for ring close up shots, but love getting nice watches too in the frame! 9. Boudoir Session I love this photo for a few reasons. Her engagement ring is first of all very unique. The blue opal in her ring compliments so nicely the color of the lingerie. You can see the definition in her body and also collar bones. Not to mention she is one of my favorite people too! 8. Kim and Kyle Wedding One of my favorite bouquets in 2017. Risher Van Horn did a stunning job with Kim's bouquet, but Kyle did an even better job choosing a gorgeous engagement ring for Kim. 7. Phoenixville Foundry Style Shoot Not only is Pegi's ring beautiful, Dianna's is an amazing calligraphist. The slice of agate really brings together the composition of the image. To learn more about Dianna and the Phoenixville Foundry, their websites are lisited below: www.thepaperlystudio.com www.phoenixvillefoundry.com 6. Phoenixville Foundry Style Shoot Making jewelry is an art of its own. RAW by Olivia Mar's rings are hand crated and inspired by the earth and sea. Her work is incredible! Check it out here: www.rawbyoliviamar.com/rings 5. Michelle and Ardian Engagement Session Yes, another awesome watch but an even more beautiful ring. I mean look at the classy bling on Ardian and Michelle! #goodtaste 4. Danielle and Jason Engagement Session The perfect scenery for a warm, winter day engagement session, and the perfect ring. 3. Emily and Paul Wedding There were all kinds of hidden gems in the Lancaster Arts Hotel. Emily mentioned she loved the metal doors that were outside of each elevator. The old hardwood floor and metal made for a beautiful compliment to her bouquet and ring! 2. Samantha's Maternity Session One of my favorite mama's from Brigantine beach sessions this past summer. 1. Style Chronicals Blog Style Shoot My heart melts a little every time I see Kim's ring during our photo shoots for The Style Chronicles Blog! In this blog, I wrote about how to create the perfect Halloween Wedding. To view the original blog, click here. Halloween weddings don’t have to be tacky. They can be a fun way to celebrate both your wedding and your favorite holiday. If you were already planning a nontraditional wedding, envisioning your bridesmaids in black and over-the-top fall décor, maybe a Halloween wedding is perfect for you! Continue reading to learn how to create a beautiful Halloween wedding, if you dare…
Invitations Invitations set the tone of your wedding. You need to make it clear to guests the type of wedding you are planning. There are two ways to go about your Halloween wedding: a classic Halloween wedding with costumes or a more refined, elegant Halloween wedding with seasonal accents. Your guests need to be made aware of your wedding guidelines. One thing you should definitely include in the invitation is the dress code. Dress Code If you choose to go the costume route, be warned that you cannot control the costumes your guests will wear. There will be photographic evidence of your uncle Barry in a Tarzan outfit. You need to consider the fact that people will dress in ridiculous costumes. But if you and your fiancé are a fun couple who also love to dress up in crazy, cool costumes then go for it! Be the best Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein you can be. If this thought scares you though, create a dress code with words like: Gothic Chic, Dark Prints Only, or Black-Tie with a Twist of Darkness. You should literally write, “Please No Costumes” because someone will assume they can wear a costume due to the fact that it is a Halloween wedding. This is also a chance for you to bring out your inner dark princess. Dress bridesmaids in black, wear black accents with your wedding dress, and dress-up your white veil with tiny black spiders. If you want to be daring, wear a blood-red dress with a black veil. You also have perfect opportunity to go bold with your makeup; try a red lip with dark, smoky eyes. Décor Your decorations can be similar for both a classic and an elegant Halloween wedding. Both can include seasonal elements, like pumpkin and gourd centerpieces, fall-colored accents (like tablecloths and flowers), and lots of candles and twinkle lights. You can also include a fun Halloween themed photo booth. Continue to add more elements like glitter spiders, black lace accents, and bejeweled skull name place holderss. You can even go one step further and add things like fake blood splatters on the tablecloths, fog machines, and eerie music. Food and Drinks Food and drinks are like the décor above and can be universal for both classic and elegant Halloween weddings. Again, think seasonally. For example, instead of vanilla cake, serve pumpkin cake. Little changes like this can make a difference in the overall feel of your wedding. Be inspired by Thanksgiving food. For the main course, serve things like turkey and sweet potatoes. You could also include seasonal beverages like spiced apple cider, pumpkin ale, and appletinis. There are many options for dessert: you can serve a pumpkin wedding cake, apple spice cake, or even pie (pecan, apple, or pumpkin). And because it is Halloween, you can't forget about the candy! Have an open candy bar for guests to snack on. You can even personalize your candy. M & M’s lets you put personalized words and pictures on them. Favors And speaking of candy, the personalized M & M’s would make a great party favor for guests. Of course you could give away other kinds of candy too but you could also give out shot glasses or drink coasters that say something like, “Mark and Sandy 10-31-17 Til Death Do Us Part”. No matter what route you choose, classic Halloween or elegant and refined Halloween, the important thing is to have fun! You can’t take it too seriously; after all it is a Halloween Wedding. |
